Using Crop Data Sheets & Calculators on Agronet
PLEASE NOTE: It is very important, before using calculators, to first of all, assess what level of technology a farm is operating at by reviewing the Crop Data Sheets.
Farm data forms are provided to record the results of each assessment (technology, land area, equipment capacity and cash availability). These can be obtained in the Farm plan records section.
Crop Data Sheets
What are they?
Crop Data Sheets are bench mark references for three levels of productivity (good(A), average(B) and poor (C)) for major field crops.
|
Information used
Crop Data Sheets make use of average figures for production inputs, crop yields and prices to estimate the gross margin of each crop at each level of performance.

Calculators for Optimizations & Investment Identification
What are they for?
Calculators provided by AGRONET help to determine farm production capacity based upon cultivable land area, equipment capacity and cash availability. Calculators also help identify optimum cropping combinations, help identify land, equipment and cash constraints and select appropriate investments. All calculator information relate to different levels of technology which need to be reviewed in the Crop Data Sheets before using the calculators.

The information required is defined for each calculator on the introduction panel (like this one) for each calculator.
